QuickScan: Instant Location Insights
Challenge
Oftentimes, significant time is lost during the process of retrieving the most current location-based details for TMS Elements. This is due to either missing documentation, unpredictable project descriptions listed in data retrieval systems, navigating through multiple application layers, filtering through projects containing large data sets, multiple variants of data sources, data storage, and data organization.
Furthermore, contractors on-site and in need of location-specific details relating to TMS Elements details are faced with delays in retrieving the information which result in a decrease in contractor productivity.
Solution
The QuickScan System represents a sophisticated and secure modular solution aimed at optimizing the retrieval and management of location-specific data within the Field Element's framework. Utilizing dynamic QR codes, this system enables effortless and secure retrieval of essential information associated with each Field Element location, accessible through the camera application of a secure state phone or tablet.
Administrators utilize the QR Code Generating Module to generate QR codes unique to individual locations, embedding essential details such as descriptions, images, and contact information. Notably, these images encompass critical details regarding fiber optic, electrical, and network insights sourced directly from current As-Builts and the TME database.
